Creating Centers of Excellence
Notre Dame's academic progress of the last two decades has been widely recognized, in part through the focus on the creation and support of "centers of excellence", which allow Notre Dame to stand out among peer institutions with leading examples of programmatic excellence. Ranging from the newly established Irish Studies program to the noteworthy Vector Biology program, these centers of excellence are flagship programs which contribute to an atmosphere of even richer intellectual life on campus
