Investment in Leadership
Several academic initiatives are shaping Notre Dame's response to the new century. An investment in leaders and in the formation of leadership is crucial to the ability of Notre Dame to implement its vision for greatness. At the most basic level, that of the individual academic department, the cultivation of leadership, combined with an active program of faculty recruitment and retention and a systematic process of evaluation and faculty development, is critical in the effort to build academic and research reputation.
