Business Manager

Nancy Horvath

Nancy Horvath was appointed Business Manager for the Office of the Provost in 2006. Her responsibilities include coordination of faculty appointments, academic budgets, and data stewardship. She serves as the Provost’s office liaison to the collegiate business managers.

Prior to joining the Office of the Provost, Horvath was Associate Director for Finance and Operations for the National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science, Inc. (GEM). Horvath was responsible for coordinating efforts of the corporate and university members, fellowship selection, member recruitment and student services. She directed operating, financial and regulatory compliance matters.

Before joining GEM, she was the Audit Manager for the University of Notre Dame. Horvath joined Notre Dame in 1994 after leaving Arthur Andersen in Chicago, Illinois.

Horvath earned a B.B.A with a concentration in accounting and a major in Political Science from Saint Mary’s College in 1991 and an M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 2000. She is a C.P.A in the State of Illinois. Horvath is on the Board of Directors of the Northern Indiana Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

She is married to Eric Horvath, who earned a B.S.(1993), B.A.(1993) and an M.S.A. (2001) from the University of Notre Dame. Their three sons are Sorin, Brennan and Ethan.
