Task Force on Collaborative Hiring
The basic charge of this task force, the establishment of which was recommended by the department chairs, was to propose strategies for addressing challenges that can arise when more than one academic unit is involved in a tenured or tenure-track faculty appointment. This occurs as a result of joint appointments between departments, appointments initiated by a center or institute, or appointments arising from grant-supported activities.
