Faculty Positions and Postdoctoral Fellowships 2011-2012

As a research university, Notre Dame is a teaching and learning community that fosters creative inquiry and scholarship while engaging and enlightening students' minds. It seeks to educate graduate students to exercise leadership in the academy and the professions. Because of Notre Dame's distinctive Catholic identity and mission, it values all intellectual inquiry as the pursuit not just of knowledge but also of truth.

The University, therefore, offers its undergraduates an education that can challenge and mature their hearts and spirits as well as their minds and provides all its graduate students with a community that can similarly advance their full humanity.

Notre Dame invites applicants supportive of and dedicated to enhancing its mission as a Catholic research university, particularly women, members of historically underrepresented groups, and others who will enhance the diversity of its faculty.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CAMPUS SECURITY AND FIRE SAFETY

The security of all members of the campus community is of paramount concern to the University of Notre Dame. The University publishes an annual report outlining security and fire safety information and crime statistics for campus. This document provides suggestions regarding crime prevention strategies and important policy information about emergency procedures, reporting of crimes, law enforcement services on campus, fire safety, and information about support services for victims of sexual assault.  The brochure also contains information about the University's policy on alcohol and other drugs, the SafeWalk program and campus shuttle service.   You may view the document on the web at: http://ndsp.nd.edu/crime-information-and-clery-act/safety-brochure-clery-act.  A printed copy of this brochure is available by sending an email request to ndsp@nd.edu or by writing to:   Office of the Director, University Security Police, 204 Hammes Mowbray Hall,  Notre Dame, IN, 46556.
