Ardea Russo is the Director of the Office of Academic Standards, which oversees the administration of Notre Dame's Honor Code and academic integrity initiatives in general. Her primary responsibility is to ensure that alleged instances of academic dishonesty are resolved fairly and consistently, and she serves as a resource for both faculty and students as they navigate the process. She also chairs the University Committee on the Honor Code, which reviews and periodically updates the University's procedures.

Prior to joining Undergraduate Education, Russo was an Associate Advising Professor in the Center for University Advising. She primarily worked with students pursuing a degree in the Mendoza College of Business, although she advised students from all of the Colleges.
Russo received her B.S. in Religious Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her M.T.S. and Ph.D. in Theology from Notre Dame. She has taught a number of courses in the Department of Theology, and is primarily interested in studying biblical passages that have proved to be troubling or disturbing to readers and commentators.
