Committee on Committees
As outlined in the Academic Articles, the Committee on Committees advises the President, Provost, and other senior administrators on establishing new ad hoc committees versus referring to standing committees. The Committee on Committees appoints or arranges for the election of the simple majority of the membership of ad hoc committees. It will also review proposals for new standing University committees.
Membership
The committee has 17 members, comprising 15 elected and two ex officio members—the chair of the Faculty Senate (or the chair’s designee) and the associate provost for faculty affairs (or another designee of the provost). Elected members serve staggered three-year terms.
