With a Side of Knowledge is a podcast produced by the Office of the Provost at the University of Notre Dame. It brings listeners informal interviews with fascinating scholars and professionals from both Notre Dame and elsewhere that typically take place over brunch.

The 12th episode of season two, “On Energy and Not Throwing Spaghetti Against the Wall,” was released Thursday, April 4, and features Rachel Kyte, chief executive officer of Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), special representative of the UN secretary-general for Sustainable Energy for All, and co-chair of UN-Energy. The episode was recorded as a live show with an audience when Kyte visited Notre Dame in March to deliver the keynote address at ND Energy’s second annual research symposium.

Host Ted Fox started out by asking her about the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and they went on to talk about the global movement for affordable, clean energy in the context of both developing countries and the United States. Kyte also shared a recommendation from her personal podcast playlist.
