Professor Jason Colquitt's work examines two related questions: What steps can managers take to become more trustworthy? And what steps can managers take to become more fair? Those questions are pivotal, as trust and fairness impact the performance, commitment, and well-being of employees.
"I love studying trust and fairness because they're fundamental issues that will never stop being important," he says. "The world of work has changed in so many ways, but trust and fairness are as vital as ever."
Colquitt also directs the Ph.D. in Management program in the Mendoza College of Business. "I'm so grateful for everything the University has done to support the program," he says. "And it's been so gratifying to meet all the applicants who dream of joining the Notre Dame community."
