Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence in the Core Curriculum

Established in 2022, the Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence in the Core Curriculum honors faculty members who have had a significant impact on undergraduate students through the teaching of coursework in the University’s core curriculum.

Eligible faculty must meet all of the following criteria at the time of nomination:

  • Currently employed as a full-time member of Notre Dame’s regular faculty and have taught a minimum of four courses in the Core Curriculum over the past five years as a regular faculty member.
  • Have not received the Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence in the Core Curriculum in any of the past four academic years
  • Have been nominated in the current academic year by at least one member of the undergraduate student body or faculty
